The Tantra of Self Love & Sacred Activism

The Tantra Of Self Love & Sacred Activism With Mischa Varmuza & Jenna Browning

Inspired by the “sacred activism” movement initiated by tantric mystic and activist, Andrew Harvey, this workshop explores the power of tantra to fuse spirituality and meaningful, radical action. Through the interwoven tantric and embodiment practices of ritual consecration, chanting, asana, pranayama, self-inquiry and group alchemy, we stoke our inner fires so that they begin to burn brightly as beacons for change.

We will call on Tantric mythology to help us pierce through our murky layers of self-doubt, inertia and frustration to reach the very core of our personal power: the fire and focus to transform and a generosity of Love to radically heal.

An emergent power arises in the collective when tap into our personal resources and begin to profoundly touch and impact the people and situations we encounter.

When we move from a place of self-love and authenticity, we can move mountains.

Join us, to rise up together, in Love and Action.

Puja begins at noon on Saturday 1 February, 2020.

“Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. It is not given to us to know which acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to tip toward an enduring good, What is needed for dramatic change is an accumulation of acts, adding, adding to, adding more, continuing. We know that it does not take everyone on Earth to bring justice and peace, but only a small, determined group who will not give up during the first, second, or hundredth gale… When a great ship is in harbor and moored, it is safe, there can be no doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for.”

The Tantra of Self-Love and Sacred Activism' is an offering born through Jenna and Mischa's own personal exploration of devoted spiritual practice and intense passion to create conscious, positive change in the world. Both are immersed in the path of Tantra, a journey through which the healing and balance of the Divine Feminine and Masculine is the pathway to awaken radical self-love and a higher awareness through which to view and meet the world. They are both deeply inspired and dedicated to the pursuit of harnessing the fire and wisdom born through spiritual practice in a way that is of service to their communities. At the heart of this journey is the practice of self-love.

It is self-love that brings us into right relationship within and into alignment with our highest truth and purpose. It is a love that remembers and reveals our purity of heart and our innate wholeness. And it allows us to fully express ourselves and celebrate the Divine in all our aspects.

The mythology of yoga offers a lens and a map through which to view and navigate our inner experiences and the challenges, beauty and mystery that we find reflected in the external world. Each, as we learn, is forever mirroring the other.

By celebrating the Goddess in all her glory, we reclaim all aspects of Her, and of ourselves and one another, which have been rejected, shames or cast out – and we love then fiercely with full hearted devotion. This is the radical act that our hearts desire and the revolution that our world needs. To love Her is to Love ourselves, unconditionally. To reclaim that Love is an act of courage that gives others permission to do the same and helps each of us to reclaim our sovereignty and bring our truth into the world--from the heart to the heart--in a way that is of service to All and that generates a growing continuum of Love and blessing energy.

She represents the Power of Love over the Love of Power, She is unconditional Love.

This workshop is an introduction into the exploration of the macrocosmic forces of the universe – the many faces of the Goddess – which are also our very own faces, and the source of the unknown and untapped power in the core of our being. We explore how embodied practice and self-inquiry can take us into a deeper and more intimate relationship with the divine—and through that connection and awareness, can awaken an untapped fire that seeks to churn the ocean of the heart and transform our “poisons” into nectar so that we may serve in all aspects of our lives with Love.
